Overview

Total Costs: A $75.00 registration fee payable to Allegheny Intermediate Unit is due when Apprenticeship Signature Page is mailed to our office. A $100.00 lab fee payable to Pittsburgh Filmmakers is due at the first session.

Students will be exposed to various techniques and disciplines unique to the rich art form of filmmaking. Participants will view and discuss examples of different styles of films to gain an understanding of film aesthetics and visual language. Storyboarding, composition, lighting, and editing will be explored and students will plan and shoot film in class. Sessions are held at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, 6300 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
